This is a continuation of my vegan manifesto. I'm still working on it, but here's what I have for section two:
I am a salutary vegan…
…because the consumption of animal products has been indisputably linked to a myriad of health problems including heart disease, cancer, gallstones, diabetes, colon disease, osteoporosis, kidney stones, arthritis, high blood pressure, and obesity.
…because cholesterol is only found in animal products and is not a required nutrient.
…because humans have no nutritional need for animals, their bodily secretions, or their byproducts.
…because eating animals, their bodily secretions, and their byproducts means eating ammonia, myriad bacteria, hydrogen sulfate, and decomposing fecal matter.
…because a vegan diet is easier on the body providing a more bountiful array of nutrients.
…because the sub-therapeutic use of antibiotics in food animals can pose serious health risks to the humans that choose to eat them, their bodily secretions, and their byproducts.
