Festive Chickpea Tart with Classic Cranberry Sauce

Tonight's dinner was really different and quite delish. I made Dreena Burton's recipes for a Festive Chickpea Tart and Classic Cranberry Sauce. The recipes ran in the Nov/Dec 2007 issue of VegNews.


Both hubbie and I really liked this dish. It was pretty easy to prepare, too. Hubbie likened the tart to a vegan alternative to stuffing. We both thought the savory flavors with the sweet and tart cranberry sauce balanced each other. The combo would obviously be great for any winter holiday feast.

My only complaint is the recipe only yields 4 or 5 servings. We'll definitely be having this one again.
