This is a bottle of lemon simple syrup produced as a byproduct of making candied lemon peel this past weekend. Isn't it beautiful? The floaties are a couple errant pieces of lemon peel.
As a reminder, lemon simple syrup can be used to sweeten iced tea, in cocktails, on grilled veggies, on roasted potatoes, in salad dressings, in baked goods, as a glaze for tofu, tempeh, or seitan ... anything you can think of, really. Get creative!
