I understand how people can come to treat animals this way. I understand the psychology behind it. I understand that when you put people in environments such as these, they go cold-blooded and the worst of them comes out. I understand all that, though I still believe it's inexcusable. What I do not understand is how people continue choose to ignore this sort of torture, and continue to eat animals.
